I just purchased a Toshiba Satellite L855-S5243 laptop. I use an expander program that requires pressing the F1 through F12 keys in order to expand different lengths of text into Word. I just learned of the sticky key function for the FN keys, but it's not very helpful as it changes the function of the Spacebar, 1 key and 2 key in the process. Is there a way to turn off the laptop without using the FN key?

No. There is no way to use a function that need pressing the FN key, without actually pressing the key. Also, the additional functions from the Spacebar, 1 key and 2 key become available only when the FN key is pressed. This should make the use of primary functions of keys easier to use.
